Fellowship With Jesus — 7-Day Bible Study
Key Verse: “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:9)
This 7-day journey is about walking closely with Jesus in everyday life — sitting with Him, listening to Him, and letting His presence shape your heart, your choices, and your days.
Day 1: Called Into Fellowship
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:9
God Himself has called you into close, personal fellowship with His Son, Jesus. You did not invite yourself into this relationship — He invited you.
Reflection
Fellowship with Jesus is not a distant religious idea. It is a daily, living connection: talking with Him, walking with Him, and including Him in ordinary moments. You belong in His presence because He is faithful, not because you are perfect.
When you feel unworthy or far away, this verse reminds you: He is the One who called you. Your job is to respond with a simple “yes.”
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for calling me into fellowship with You. I didn’t earn it and I don’t deserve it, but You invited me anyway. Today I say “yes” again. Teach me to walk closely with You and to remember that I am welcome in Your presence. Amen.
Journal Prompts
- When did you first become aware that Jesus was drawing you to Himself?
- In what ways have you felt “unworthy” to be close to Him?
- Write a short response to Jesus, thanking Him for calling you into fellowship.
Day 2: Walking in the Light
Scripture: 1 John 1:7
When we walk in God’s light — in honesty, truth, and openness before Him — we enjoy fellowship with Him and with one another, and the blood of Jesus cleanses us.
Reflection
Fellowship with Jesus grows in the light, not in hiding. He already knows everything about you, but He invites you to bring it into the open with Him. Light is not meant to shame you — it is meant to heal you.
As you choose honesty with God, the walls between you and Him come down. You don’t have to pretend to be strong or “have it all together.” You can walk in the light of His love, cleansed and covered by His blood.
Prayer
Father, bring me into Your light. I don’t want to hide from You anymore. Shine Your truth on my heart, and let the blood of Jesus cleanse me deeply. Help me to be honest with You and with others, so our fellowship can be real and strong. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Journal Prompts
- Is there anything you’ve been hiding from God in fear or shame?
- What does “walking in the light” look like for you, practically?
- Write an honest prayer to God about one area you want to bring into the light.
Day 3: Hearing His Voice
Scripture: John 10:27
Jesus says that His sheep hear His voice, He knows them, and they follow Him. Fellowship with Him means learning to recognize and respond to His voice.
Reflection
Many times we doubt whether we can really hear God. But Jesus promises that His sheep do hear His voice. You are not an exception. He knows how to get your attention. Often His voice comes as a gentle nudge, a verse that won’t leave your mind, a deep peace, or a firm check in your spirit.
Fellowship with Jesus is not one-way. You talk to Him, and He leads you. Over time, you begin to recognize what is from Him and what is not.
Prayer
Jesus, You are my Shepherd. Teach me to know Your voice more clearly. Quiet the noise around me and inside me, and train my heart to listen. When You speak, help me to trust and obey. Thank You that I am known by You. Amen.
Journal Prompts
- Think of a time you believe God spoke to you. What happened?
- What makes it hard for you to feel confident that you’ve heard Him?
- Ask Jesus a simple question and write down what comes to your heart.
Day 4: Strength in Weakness
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:9
The Lord told Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Our fellowship with Jesus is often deepest in the places where we feel the weakest.
Reflection
You shared earlier that you feel weak in many areas — fasting, praying, reading, staying consistent. But Jesus is not surprised by your weakness. He meets you inside it. Fellowship with Him is not about you being strong; it’s about Him being strong in you.
When you’re worn out, empty, or overwhelmed, that is not the end of the story. It can be the doorway to deeper dependence on Him. His grace is enough for this exact version of you — right now.
Prayer
Lord, I bring You my weakness — my tired body, my scattered mind, my inconsistent habits. I can’t fix myself, but I can lean on You. Let Your strength be made perfect in my weakness. I choose to boast in my need for You, not in my own ability. Be glorified in my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Journal Prompts
- Where do you feel the weakest right now?
- How might Jesus want to show His strength in that exact area?
- Write a “weak but willing” prayer to God, asking Him to carry you.
Day 5: Sharing His Sufferings
Scripture: Philippians 3:10
Paul longed to know Christ and “the fellowship of His sufferings,” becoming more like Him through the hard places.
Reflection
Suffering is not a sign that God has left you. In Christ, suffering can become a place of deep fellowship with Him. He knows what it is to be rejected, misunderstood, betrayed, and wounded — and He sits with you in your pain.
You don’t have to pretend your hurts are small. You can bring them to Jesus and say, “Lord, let me know You here. Meet me in this.” He turns even the darkest chapters into testimony and glory.
Prayer
Jesus, You know what it means to suffer. You carried the cross for me. I give You the painful parts of my story — the parts I don’t even like to look at. Meet me there. Let me share in Your sufferings in a way that leads to deeper love and deeper hope. In Your name, amen.
Journal Prompts
- What part of your story still hurts to remember?
- How does it change things to know Jesus is there with you in that memory?
- Write a short letter to Jesus from that hurting place.
Day 6: Abiding in His Love
Scripture: John 15:9–10
Jesus invites us to remain in His love, just as He remains in the Father’s love, and to let that love shape how we live and obey.
Reflection
Fellowship with Jesus means staying rooted in His love, not in fear or performance. He doesn’t say, “Earn My love.” He says, “Abide in My love.” As you rest in the fact that He truly loves you, obedience becomes a response of trust, not a desperate attempt to prove yourself.
Abiding is steady, daily, and gentle — like a branch simply staying connected to the Vine. Your job is to stay connected. He supplies the life.
Prayer
Jesus, teach me to abide in Your love. Let Your love be the atmosphere I breathe, the ground I stand on, the truth I come back to again and again. When I feel distant or afraid, draw me close and remind me that I am loved. Amen.
Journal Prompts
- What lies have you believed about God’s love for you?
- What does it look like, in your real life, to “abide” in Jesus?
- Write down three truths about His love that you want to remember.
Day 7: Living in His Peace
Scripture: Philippians 4:6–7
God’s peace guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus when we bring everything to Him in prayer with thanksgiving.
Reflection
Fellowship with Jesus means you never have to carry anxiety alone. You can bring every fear, every decision, every pressure to Him. As you pour out your heart and thank Him for who He is and what He has done, His peace begins to settle over you.
His peace is not fragile. It guards you — like a shield around your heart and mind. The circumstances may not change immediately, but His presence in the middle of them changes you.
Prayer
Lord, I bring You my worries, my questions, and my heavy thoughts. I lay them at Your feet. Thank You for all You have already done for me. Let Your peace guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help me live each day aware that You are with me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Journal Prompts
- List the main things you’re anxious about right now.
- Write out a prayer, turning each worry into a request to God.
- End by writing a short paragraph of thanksgiving for what He has already done.
